Beauty and sadness surrounds the landscape where the RCMP Station is situated, last occupied in 1932. Here stands an abandoned building, just behind the main quarters. This is the view while walking down the hill where two graves, dating from the 1920's are sitting inside a white picket fence. They belong to two young officers, aged only 25 and 27. It is believed one died in a walrus hunting accident, the other committed suicide.
